John and Jeanne Joseph

John and Jeanne Joseph of Iron River celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Spot Supper Club in Iron River.

John and the former Jeanne Willoughby were married June 23, 1962, in Calvary Presbyterian Church in Iron River.

Their children are Todd and Carla Joseph of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Tim and Sherry Joseph of Plymouth, Wis.; and Jane Joseph of Iron River. They have five grandchildren.

John and Jeanne are both retired teachers from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis.

Secret to staying married: Mutual respect and listening — especially to “I love you,” which we say often — are key to our long and happy marriage.
