Emily King and Jonathan Meserve, both of Brookline, Mass., plan to be married in July on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Her parents are Terry and Lois King of Duluth. His parents are Bill and Pamela Meserve of Winchester, Mass.
The future bride, a 2000 graduate of Duluth East High School, graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry and chemistry, and from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland in 2010 with a master’s degree in public health and a doctorate in medicine. She is a resident in the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
The future groom, a 1998 graduate of Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge, Mass., graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., with a bachelor’s degree in geology and mathematics and from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland in 2010 with a doctorate in medicine. He is a resident in the combined Pediatrics-Anesthesia Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
