Virginia Hospital Commission delays Essentia vote

The Virginia Hospital Commission has delayed a vote on whether to affiliate Virginia Regional Medical Center with the Essentia health system.

The Virginia Hospital Commission has delayed a vote on whether to affiliate Virginia Regional Medical Center with the Essentia health system.

Commission President Joe Leoni said contract details could not be worked out in time for Monday’s scheduled vote. The commission has set a meeting on June 25 for the vote, he said.

The Virginia City Council also must approve the affiliation.
