Pete "Astor" and Marlys Kilen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Pete "Astor" and Marlys Kilen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Pete and the former Marlys Milbrath were married June 10, 1962, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lakefield, Minn.

Their children are Christa Kilen of Spooner, Wis., and Douglas Kilen of Superior. They have two grandchildren.

Pete is retired from McNeil Laboratories in Fort Washington, Pa. Marlys is retired from Fond du Lac Ojibwe School in Cloquet.
