Time for summer hours

You bet it’s summer. Here are a couple of summer hour announcements we’ve received:

  • The Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center in Canal Park is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through mid-October. FYI if you lost the number, the Boatwatchers Hotline is (218) 722-6489.

  • The Duluth Public Library downtown will be closed Saturdays beginning this weekend. Branch library hours are unchanged for summer. Here’s a short version of the hours: All the libraries open at 10 a.m. daily, Monday-Friday, and they close either at 6 or 8 p.m. depending on the day. If you get there at 7 and it’s closed, that’s a 6 p.m. day.

    Bus to the beach

    Speaking of summertime, the Route 15 bus goes all the way down to the Park Point Recreation Area beginning Tuesday and ending Labor Day.

    Catch the bus to the beach, 75 cents during off-peak hours.
