Holden, McLennan engagement

Megan Holden and Brian McLennan, both of Altoona, Iowa, plan to be married June 16 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Megan Holden and Brian McLennan, both of Altoona, Iowa, plan to be married June 16 in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Her parents are Mike and Sue Holden of Scranton, Iowa. His parents are Mark and Char McLennan of Duluth and Larry and Karen Bowman of Iron River.

The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Jefferson-Scranton High School in Jefferson, Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is a kindergarten teacher for the Newton (Iowa) Com­munity School District.

The future groom, a 2005 graduate of Marshall School in Duluth, graduated from the University of Iowa in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. He is an accountant at Ernst & Young in Des Moines.
