Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College has added two new programs to its four campuses.

Health information technology and medical office specialist programs have been added because of growth in each area.

The health information technology program, which offers an associate degree, includes paths for work as a health information technician, reimbursement coordinator, privacy officer, and data quality and integrity monitor. A medical coding specialist diploma will be part of the program; students can earn that diploma after one year and enter the work force while continuing in the final year of the associate degree path.

The medical office specialist technical diploma program combines medical office skills with computer skills for preparation of administrative work in health care.

WITC has campuses in Superior, Ashland, Rice Lake and New Richmond, Wis
