More improvements are in the works for Duluth’s Enger Park this summer.

In all, the city aims to invest another $432,000 in the park. Pending improvements include the construction of a new gazebo and upgrades to Enger’s electrical service.

The Duluth City Council will vote Monday on whether to award a $138,000 contract for the gazebo to Hovland Inc. of Hermantown.

The city already has budgeted $205,700 for work at Enger Park.

If approved by the council Monday, the remainder of money will come from two sources:

  • $126,300 from the capital improvements set-aside in Duluth’s general fund.

  • $100,000 from the city’s unexpectedly large tourism tax collections in 2011.
