MEMORABLE MOMENT: Bloom, Kruger engagement

Nicole Bloom of Apple Valley, Minn., and Cameron Kruger of Duluth plan to be married Oct. 6 at YMCA Camp Miller in Sturgeon Lake.

Her parents are Thomas and Carol-Ann Bloom of Apple Valley, Minn. His parents are Clayton Kruger of Duluth and Colleen Nordstrom of Jamestown, N.D.

The future bride, a 1997 graduate of the School of Environmental Studies in Apple Valley, Minn., graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is pursuing a master's degree in social work from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

The future groom, a 2002 graduate of Duluth Central High School, graduated from Lake Superior College in 2006 with an associate degree in supervisory management, from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in communicating arts and is pursuing a master's degree in human services from Springfield (Mass.) College. He is the human resource director at the Duluth Area Family YMCA in Duluth.
