Hartley Nature Center hosts author, leads free snowshoe hikes on Saturday

Local author Laura Erickson and her owl Archimedes will visit Hartley Nature Center on Saturday, March 17, and share from her new book, “Twelve Owls.”
There will also be a nature book sale as well as a silent auction of signed first-edition books by Sigurd Olson. Proceeds will support Hartley Nature Center’s youth- and adult educational programming.
Staff naturalists will be leading snowshoe hikes every 15 minutes, starting at 10 a.m. The event is free, and snowshoes will be available for rent at the center.
