This recipe is light and refreshing. You can color the layers to your liking - deepen them with more drops of food coloring.
Spaghetti Pie
6 oz. spaghetti or angel hair pasta
2 T. butter
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 beaten eggs
1 c. cottage cheese
1 lb. hamburger or Italian sausage
1 jar Prego
1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
Cook spaghetti and drain. Put noodles back in the pan and stir in the butter. Once melted, add the Parmesan cheese and beaten eggs. Mix together and form a crust in a buttered 10" pie plate. Spread cottage cheese on top. Brown hamburger or sausage. Drain and add Prego. Pour meat sauce mixture over the cottage cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Take out, add mozzarella cheese and bake for additional 5 minutes. I have doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9 x 13 inch pan also.
