Republican candidate debates graphically reveal how dysfunctional, discordant, hypocritical, disrespectful and racist they have become.
With no rational or comprehensive solutions except tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, they flip-flop attacking each other and Democrats attempting to resolve the burden created by George W. Bush.
Their sole solution for deficit reduction is cutting or limiting funds affecting the poor, education, Medicare, Medicaid, health care and the stimulus they voted against but eagerly accepted. Meanwhile they advocate for huge subsidies for record-profit corporations who ship American jobs abroad, exploiting and enslaving foreign workers.
Ninety-five percent of congressional Republicans were coerced into signing what former Republican Sen. Alan Simpson called the “No tax increases even if the country goes to hell” pledge written by Grover Norquist, lobbyist for Americans for Tax Reform, funded by wealthy, powerful anti-labor and anti-middle class forces.
Their degree of conservatism is measured by one issue, Religicans not always in accord and reactionary extremist party members who threaten them with expulsion. Some deficit hawks believe Norquist’s position undermines the democratic principle of government, negotiation and bipartisanship.
Merging of past Republican administrations and corporations led toward fascism. Recently the most partisan, political decision in Supreme Court history, Citizens United, creates oligarchy enabling the wealthy elite to exercise governmental control for greedy, corrupt purposes.
Republicans utilize two forms of governing: small government for the wealthy businesses and corporations giving them advantageous freedoms; and big government to suppress the freedoms and rights of the middle class and labor. Will their big government force women to begin another suffrage movement to regain their right to decide? Will they be forced to wear burqas next? Will legislating morality resolve our social and economic problems? Have Republicans begat Religicans?
