Laurie Johnson and Wayne Swor, both of Duluth, plan to be married June 2 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Duluth.

Her parents are Robert and Barbara Johnson of Duluth. His father is the late Bruce Swor.

The future bride, a 1992 graduate of Marshall School in Duluth, graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in communication and from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1998 with a master's degree in mass communication. She is a marketing planner for Essentia Health in Duluth.

The future groom, a 1988 graduate of Colorado Springs Christian School, graduated from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in construction management. He is a business manager at Les Grumdahl Window & Siding LLC in Duluth.
