United Airlines will add a third round-trip daily flight between Duluth and Chicago beginning June 7.

United, which began its direct Duluth-Chicago service in December 2009, already had flights departing Duluth at 6 a.m. and 3:06 p.m. The third flight will leave Duluth between them, at 10:46 a.m.

A third departure, at 8:48 a.m.from Chicago O’Hare airport to Duluth also will be added to the current departures at 1:10 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.

The Chicago O’Hare airport is a hub for connections to other domestic and to international destinations. The additional flight already is available for booking at united.com.

More Chicago flights will give travelers from the Twin Ports region even more options as the summer travel season approaches, said Brian Ryks, executive director of the Duluth Airport Authority.
