Take the Kids blog: "Amahl and the Night Visitors"

This Christmas opera will be performed Dec. 17, 18 and 19 with special seating close to the stage for kids.

Children are invited to sit in a special area close to the stage for Lyric Opera of the North's production of "Amahl and the Night Visitors." The opera is less than an hour long and is sung in English. Dancers from the Minnesota Ballet will be featured. The story follows the young shepherd Amahl on his quest to visit baby Jesus.

Shows are Dec. 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, 4 W. Second St., Duluth.

Ticket are $24 for adults, $18 for seniors and students, and $10 for children younger than 12.
