WTIP / North Shore Community Radio in Grand Marais has a thorough report on storm damage in Cook County, including photos. As noted on a previous post, the city’s pool suffered roof damage and a couple of boats broke loose in the harbor and washed ashore.
The radio station also has posted several videos to YouTube of waves rolling into the harbor. The strong southwest winds pounded that stretch of Lake Superior shore overnight and this morning; the peak wind gust along the shore was 59 mph. Here are the three videos posted by WTIP:
