Kay Marie (Sisto) Peterson, of Duluth passed into paradise on Thursday, May 28, 2010. She worked at the VA Clinic in Superior and enjoyed her job and co-workers. Kay was our best friend, a nurturer, a lover of every living creature, a prayer warrior, a listener, a gardener, a girly-girl, and a striking person inside and out. Everybody she met was changed because of her massive smile and overflowing love. Kay enjoyed walking with her sister and her dad on the Waterfront Trail, inhaling the blossoms, praying and petting “Chester the Cat”. She adored her three sons and family. She was so amazing and outstanding that no words can express our feelings about our dear, sweet, wonderful angel.
She will be missed and the void will never be filled.
Kay is survived by her sons, Michael, Aaron and Jordan; her parents, Bob and Shirley Sisto; sister, Kim Sisto Robinson; brother, Alan Sisto; brother-in-law, David Robinson; sister-in-law, Leta Sisto, – Andrew, Alex and Faith; many fabulous cousins, aunts, uncles and two very special friends, Tia and Carli.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 6700 Grand Avenue in Duluth. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial will take place in Oneota Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Animal Allies and The Domestic Abuse Intervention Center in Duluth.
