I Got a Feelin'... (Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night)The journey is almost finished.

Wow, guys, it’s just about over! We’re about to make the transition from high school to… something else, something new! How exciting. Graduation!
So you can forget what I said in my last blog about regrets and high school and how the two are connected—right now, those thoughts do not exist. I sense neither sadness nor caution in my countdown calendar to commencement.
It may seem like graduation is just an expectation or requirement; not an achievement. While somewhat true, what graduation is actually more like is a rite of passage—like a “sweet sixteen” birthday or confirmation. And also, an excuse to have a party.
And why not? Although millions of other teenagers in the country are doing the same thing, the milestone of graduation is an achievement in itself, just like taking your first steps or losing your first tooth. Sure, pretty much every other kid in the world does it, but haven’t your parents been there for every special moment of your childhood, taking photos and guiding you along the way? The multitude of achievements by the masses does not diminish the achievement of the individual in any way.
Seniors, I think we should be proud. We (almost) made it! Commencement’s going to be a great night, I know it.
