Trout stocking under way in Duluth area
Here’s a schedule of trout stocking in the Duluth area. Although the trout may be caught by anglers of all ages, they are stocked primarily for youth.
Tischer Creek — 500 brown trout, stocked last week
Tischer Creek — 600 brook trout (300 on Tuesday, 300 on May 20)
Chester Creek — 320 brook trout, May 18
Chester Creek — 500 brown trout, stocked last week
Kingsbury Creek — 465 brook trout, May 17
Midway River — 500 brown trout, stocked last week
St. Louis River (just above Jay Cooke State Park) — 1,000 brown trout, Thursday
Twin Ponds — 400 rainbow trout (200 on May 25, 200 on May 27)
