ST. PAUL — A resolution urging Minnesota’s congressional delegation to vote against the federal health care overhaul gets a committee hearing today.

A Senate health policy panel will take up the proposal from Republican Sen. Julianne Ortman of Chanhassen. It urges Minnesota’s congressional members to oppose the health-care overhaul and state Attorney General Lori Swanson to prepare to take legal action to block the changes.

Majority Democrats voted down Ortman’s attempt to force a debate on the issue on Thursday, saying her legislation was already scheduled for a committee hearing.
