Too many deer in Duluth?
The Arrowhead Bowhunters Alliance, which conducts the Duluth city bowhunt for deer, wants to hear from you if you have too many deer in your neighborhood. The group is planning this fall’s hunt and likely will set up more concentrated “hotspot” hunts on private property. If you’d like your area considered for such a hunt, e-mail the ABA by March 15 at infoduluthhunt@gmail.com.
Several so-called "hotspot" hunts were added this past year and proved productive. Hunters were able to eliminate deer in tiny areas surrounded by residences. The ABA secures permission from all nearby homeowners and the Duluth City Council before conducting such a hunt.
