Timeline: Construction began in early December. Restaurant will open March 22.
Purpose: “If there is a major sporting event going on, we will have it covered,” said assistant general manager Chad Baker. The Duluth Buffalo Wild Wings, in a portion of the former Gander Mountain location, is one of the largest in the country, with a capacity of about 240 people, Baker said.
Features: The restaurant will be halved into bar and restaurant, with a roofed patio. “We can have people out there in not the worst Duluth weather, but some of it,” Baker joked. The restaurant will have TVs, TVs and more TVs, including five 100-inch projector TVs, three 60-inch TVs, two 50-inchers and 31 at 42 inches.
