Archery regionals at Chalstrom's this weekend

Archers will gather Saturday and Sunday at Chalstrom's Bait and Tackle north of Duluth for the Minnesota State Archery Association's regional shoot. Thirty-four shooters at a time will go to the line at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. Saturday, and at 9 a.m. and noon on Sunday. They'll shoot at targets 20 yards away on the indoor range.

The regional shoot has been held at Chalstrom's every year since 1988, Sue Chalstrom said.

Archers must shoot at a regional event in order to shoot at the state championships, to be held at Brainerd this year. Everyone who shoots at the regional qualifies, Chalstrom said. A perfect score is 300.

"We have lots of 300 shooters," she said.

Spectators are welcome at the event.
