Burgwald, Layon Wedding

Kristi Burgwald and Chad Layon were married September 26, 2009 at Spirit Mountain.

Her parents are Denis and Leann Burgwald of Deerwood, Minn. His parents are Sharon Layon of Duluth and the late Roger E. Layon.

The bride chose Megan Beseres as maid of honor. Tonya Merta was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Loriel Hedquist and Lisa Arndt. Emily Merta and Sarah Layon were junior bridesmaids. Alyssa Merta, Grace Layon and Emma Layon were flower girls.

The groom chose Kris Layon as best man. Groomsmen were Bryan Merta, Chad Burgwald and Lyle Hedquist. Tanner Merta was ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School and Argosy University in Egan. She is a radiation therapist at SMDC Cancer Center.

The groom is a graduate of Duluth High School and Fond du Lac College in Cloquet. He is employed as a deputy sheriff.
