Kyle J. Sims

Kyle J. Sims, 22, son of Gwen and Phill Larson of Sawyer, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010. He was born Sept. 5, 1987, in Deer River, Minn., and graduated from Carlton High School in 2006. Kyle loved the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and 4-wheeling. He was employed at Upper Lakes Foods in Cloquet/Northfield as a semi-truck driver and was very mechanical.

Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Jeanette Grover, and an uncle, James Grover. He is survived by his parents, Gwen and Phill Larson; brothers, Eric Sims and Kyle Larson; sister, Kaley Larson; fiancee, Amber Dougherty; grandparents, Ray and Lucille Larson, and Clarence and Shirley Sims; many aunts, uncles and cousins who love him.

SERVICES: Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. The visitation will resume on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, also at Nelson Funeral Care, followed with a luncheon and time of sharing in the fellowship room.
