Cookie sales

• The Cloquet Presbyterian Women’s Christmas Cookie sale runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at 47 Fourth St. in Cloquet. Cookies are $3 a dozen.

• Peace in Christ Lutheran Church, 5007 Maple Grove Road in Hermantown, will have its annual Holiday Cookie Sale & Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The cost of cookies is $6.50 per pound. Breakfast is $4 for adults and $2 for children younger than 10 years of age. Call 729-9473.

Christmas luncheon

The ladies of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 701 N. Third Ave. in Proctor, will hold their annual Christmas luncheon at noon Saturday, Dec. 5. Music will be provided by Just Friends of Esko. Reservations are due by Friday, Nov. 27. Call 624-5828. Tickets are $7.

Christmas bazaar

The women of Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 Fifth St. in Carlton, are holding their annual Christmas bazaar, “Touch of Scandinavia,” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. Choice of two lunches, craft table, Christmas cookies and candy and more.

Music blowout

Bill Bastian, the Echoes of Peace Choir, Three Altos, Rabbi Amy Bernstein and accompanist Lon Weaver will share their gifts with the Duluth community in support of CHUM during the 14th annual Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Mitchell Auditorium on the College of St. Scholastica campus. Admission is free with a free-will offering collected to benefit CHUM and those they shelter and feed. Call 720-6521.

Bayside Baptist events

“Joys of Christmas” is the theme for the 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, gathering of Senior Adults’ Fellowship at Bayside Baptist Church (corner of New York and Belknap in Superior). The evening will include a catered dinner and a Christmas concert on organ and piano presented by Joe and Clarice Brygger. Tickets are $7.50 each. Please RSVP by Tuesday. Also at Bayside Baptist: There will be a concert of Christmas music done Southern Gospel style by the Chancellors, a nationally known quartet, and the local group Hear By Faith. This show will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
