JUNE F. CASPERSON

June F. Casperson, 92, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 in Duluth.

She was born on Aug. 21, 1917 in Ingram, Wis. June attended schools in Iron Mountain, Mich., served in the WAVES during World War II, and worked in medical and broadcasting positions. During a period of 25 years she raised a family of six children in Duluth, June was a special Wife, Mother and Friend.

In 1975 she and her husband, Carl, retired to Brownsville, Texas. In 1987 they moved to Palm Valley, Texas. After living for 32 years in Texas they returned to Duluth.

June was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Kennedy and her son-in-law, Michael Kay.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Carl; three sons, Robert (Susan), Carl (Lisa) and Dean (Jane); three daughters, Mary J. Kay, Kay (Larry) Fore, and Leigh (Curt) Hagg; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Mitchell and Kathleen Wilson; and one brother, Terrance Kennedy.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 in Bell Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 East Fourth St. Duluth. A private interment service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth.
