Lynn Bergquist of Bear Island Rd. passed away of natural causes, October 9, 2009.
She was born, Feb. 25, 1959 in Duluth, to Norma & Glenn Wittich.
She graduated from East High School in 1977. She attended UMD and received her Bachelors Degree in elementary education in 1981 and later obtained her Masters. She worked in a group home for the mentally challenged before starting her teaching career in Special Education. After nine years in Special Education she continued as an elementary school teacher in the Duluth Public School System, this year teaching at Laura-MacArthur. She was united in marriage to Kim Bergquist on April 12, 1991.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Kim, whom she dearly loved; her very special Labradors, Lucy, Brutus and Misty; her parents, Norma and Glenn Wittich; her siblings, Bruce (Susan) Wittich of Niwot, Colo., Carol (Tim) Bell, their children, Josh and Anna of Aurora, Colo.; brother-in-law, Jed (Arlene) Bergquist of Lake Vermillion, Minn., their children, Bryan and April of the Twin Cities, Minn.; Debbie (Royal) Johnson of St. Charles, Ill., and their children, Kipp, Brett, Craig, Danielle, Marissa, Jared and Logan.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Concordia Lutheran Church. A gathering of friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Dougherty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805, 218-727-3555.
