JOHN MARTIN "COKE" STOJEVICH JR.

John Martin "Coke" Stojevch Jr.

John Martin "Coke" Stojevch Jr., 50, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2009 with his loving wife of 20 years at his side, due to complication from diabetes.

John was born on June 28, 1958 in Duluth, to parents John and Pauline Stojevich.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed.

He was in the Boy Scouts, altar boy, baseball, and track. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with high honors in an Industrial Technology Career. He worked for Control Data and Trane Corporation. John had clearance and worked on special projects for Air Force One and Kennedy Space Center and helped out with his sons' track and field day. In John's younger years, he and his brothers had a family band, "Dynastar", and played at the Spirit Valley Days Street Dances, warm up band for Rick Nelson, weddings, and other parties. He volunteered for the Minnesota Special Olympics Aquatics, Power Lifting, Basketball Duluth Regional Meet, Haunted Shack, Festival of Nations, and Blaine Airport Hanger Dance. His sacraments were made at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Duluth. He was currently a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Blaine.

He loved fishing, camping, playing guitar, skiing, wood working, watching his sons play their sports, going on vacation with his family, and fishing and playing guitar with his co-workers. He loved watching the Vikings play football and barbequing on his new Green Egg Grill. He always loved going to the Minnesota State Fair and winning those large, stuffed animals with his sons, and spending those special days and occasions with his family and friends.

John always helped his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bobby"; grandparents, John and Ann Strukel, Eva and Anthony Stojevich; aunt, "Babe" Smith; cousins, Kevin Smith and John Noruk; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Bobby and Justin; dog, Daisy; his mother and father, Pauline and John; mother-in-law, Noni Gillham; four brothers, Tony, Jeff (Cheryl), Patrick (Katy), and Daniel (Ann Marie); and several nephews and nieces.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Blaine, Minn. Visitation 9 a.m. until the Mass.
