Grad Picture Time

The school year is coming to a close and that means this year’s juniors need to start thinking about taking their senior graduation pictures for next year. Grad pictures, done by professional photographers can be very expensive, and some families may find the cost too financially burdensome and so forego taking the pictures all together. With this in mind, the photography company Life Touch is piloting a program at East that offers free photography services to any junior who can’t afford to pay for their grad pictures.

“The program is not intended to take business away from local photographers but to make [grad pictures] more available and easier… it’s a less expensive way to have your grad’s done,” said yearbook advisor Mr. Florestano.

A mailing was sent to all junior parents advertising the program which started at 9:00 in the life sports room Wednesday May 6. Since it is still early in the grad pic season, Life Touch is looking to offer another session in either late September or Early October.
