A&E FYI: Still time for DAI members to submit pieces

The Duluth Art Institute is seeking submissions for its annual membership exhibition, which will be held from Jan. 21 to March 22 at the Depot in the Great Hall.

The Duluth Art Institute is seeking submissions for its annual membership exhibition, which will be held from Jan. 21 to March 22 at the Depot in the Great Hall. (An opening-day membership meeting will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m., and a reception will follow that until 8 p.m.)

Artwork by members can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Art Institute offices on the fourth floor of the Depot.

Two-dimensional work must be limited to 30 inches or less per side, including mat and/or frame; three-dimensional work must be 42 inches or less in diameter (including stand or base). Wall-mounted works must not exceed 25 pounds. Other restrictions do apply. Call David Hodges, DAI curator, at 733-7562 or e-mail dhodges@duluthartinstitute.org for information.

Contributing members are eligible to show one piece of original artwork (created since Jan. 1, 2008) in the annual membership exhibition in the Great Hall of the Depot. Memberships to the Duluth Art Institute are $30 students, $40 individuals and $60 for households.
