Patricia M. “Patty” Gould, 83, lifelong Coleraine resident, died Friday, Dec.

Patricia M. “Patty” Gould, 83, lifelong Coleraine resident, died Friday, Dec.26, 2008 in Grand Village, Grand Rapids.

Born March 4, 1925 in Grand Rapids, she was the daughter of Warren and Luella (Gauthier) Sackett.

Patty was a 1943 graduate of Greenway High School and a lifelong Coleraine resident. Patty and William Gould were married on Sept. 27, 1947 in Coleraine. She was a home maker, a member of the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Coleraine and its CCW, served as treasurer of the CCW, served on the Coleraine Library Board for 20 years, and had worked for Minnesota Power and Anderson Glass. Patty was a very active bridge player, a member of the “31” Club for over 50 years, and loved to play scrabble with Delores.

Her parents, her husband, Bill; a son, Jay; a grandson, Casey Peer; and a brother, Richard preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Peggy (Bob) Peer of Cloquet, Mary (Joe) Black of Rancho Palos Verde, Calif., Joan (John) Nelson of Florence, Wis., and Wally (Lydia) Gould of Proctor; grandchildren, Julie Roy and Steven Peer, Mack, Billy, Sara, Kyle, and Shane Gould, Jeremy and Greg Nelson, and Patty and Ryan Black; four great grandchildren; brothers, Wally Sackett of Coleraine, Vernon Sackett of Grand Rapids, Warren Sackett of Renton, Wash., Allen Sackett of Palm Desert, Calif., and sisters, Joan Evanoff of International Falls, Lois Litton of Paducah, Ky., and Donna York of Brea, Calif.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Coleraine. Interment was atthe Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Arrangements are by the Peterson Funeral Chapel of Coleraine.
