FOX 21 weather update for today:

Today: Cloudy, windy, light snow, east winds 10-20, hi: 30, lo: 18.

The first day of spring is only a month and four days away, but it's not time for the jeans, T-shirts and tennis shoes just yet. If you do any shopping today, put a new shovel and longjohns on your list! We're about to take a couple steps backwards, after moving three warm steps ahead last week. The next two days look snowy and windy, with falling temperatures. By Wednesday night, many of us could have 1 to 3 inches of new snow, and lows on the Range could drop to 10 below zero. Just a reminder why the Twins and Brewers go south for spring training! It will also be quite blustery, with winds off Lake Superior to 35 mph tonight and Wednesday. That's a reality slap in the face! As always, the tradeoff arrives Thursday and Friday, as the sun will return, but high temperatures will only be in the low to mid-teens. But our timing isn't all bad; the weekend looks sunny and warmer, with highs in the mid-20s. See you on FOX 21 News at 9, daily in the Duluth News Tribune and at www.duluthnewstribune.com.
