Fatal accident on Two Harbors Expressway

One person was killed in an accident along Minnesota State Highway 61 in Lake County Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2001 Ford Explorer was traveling north on the highway at 4:37 p.m., lost control on the ice-covered roadway, entered the right ditch and came to rest upside-down near the Anderson Road intersection. Two people were in the Explorer.

The victims’ identities are scheduled to be released this evening.
