Carol Avol looks over some 500 books she plans to purchase at the Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale Monday morning. Avol, co-owner of Chequamegon Book & Coffee Company in Washburn, will sell the bounty of books at the store. She's also an avid reader, averaging about 200 books a year. Monday was a members-only event. The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10-3 on Thursday. Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com
