YourSports: North Shore Rugby finishes third in state tournament

The North Shore rugby team finished third at the Minnesota Youth Rugby Tournament June 7-8 at Irondale High School in New Brighton. North Shore lost its semifinal match against Minnetonka 17-15, but rallied to defeat Hopkins 19-12 in the third place match. Joe McDonald, Sam Freeman and Alex Trapp each scored a try in the third place match.

North Shore also announced that nine players from its team were selected to the MYR Select Side Team that travelled to Denver for the Rocky Mountain Challenge Rugby Tournament.
