Would you give a robot a lift?
A friendly galoshes-wearing robot is thumbing its way across Canada this summer. HitchBOT (as it’s called) is a project by university researchers exploring the relationship and trust between humans and robots. They are counting on benevolent drivers to ferry the robot, originally left on a Nova Scotia roadside, to Victoria, British Columbia.
