William A. Collins, 84, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Duluth, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Mission Viejo, Calif.

William was born Jan. 9, 1930 in Duluth.

He graduated from Duluth Central High School and attended the University of Minnesota- Duluth. William served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953. William married Kathleen "Kay" Sommers on Aug. 4, 1956.

William was in the Sales and Marketing Representation in the Men's Apparel Field retiring in 1995 from Superba Neckwear. After retirement William moved to Mission Viejo, Calif., and worked in the movie industry appearing in 16 movies.

William was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Roberts.

William is survived by his wife, Kay Collins; son, Tim (Cindy) Collins of San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Lynn (Tom) Simpson of Oak Hill, Va.; grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Collins of San Diego, Calif.; niece, Paige (Bruce) Blaser of Sobieski, Wis., and nephews, Bill (Brenda) Roberts of Sobieski, Wis., and Teg Roberts of Pulaski, Wis.

SERVICE: 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Rev. John Steiner will officiate. Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.

Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
