Wednesday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Partly cloudy skies as low pushes east

Adam Clark

TODAY: The slow low-pressure system that has brought dreary and stormy weather to the region pushes east. Expect partly cloudy skies and an east wind to develop at 5-10 mph by the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid- and low 70s by the lake.

THURSDAY: We will have a parade of low-pressure systems lining up along a trough in the north and western states. The first one will give us a 50 percent chance of storms into the afternoon with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the upper 50s with highs in the low 70s.

FRIDAY: The low will continue east, bringing a 40 percent chance of showers and storms. Lows will be in the upper 50s and highs in the low 70s.

SATURDAY: Expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70s. The models have another low coming from the southwest.  But placement of the low ranges widely.  Expect a 40% chance of storms.
