James McNulty, 53, of Embarrass was traveling south on the 4800 block of County Highway 21 at about noon when a northbound car attempted to make a left turn and struck his vehicle head-on, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the other vehicle, 78-year-old Arnold Krueger and his passenger, 75-year-old Darlene Krueger, both of Embarrass, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health-Virginia. McNulty and his passenger suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.

All parties were wearing seatbelts, the sheriff’s office said.
