Tuesday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Sunny and cooler

TODAY: A cold front that passed overnight brings northwest winds at 5-15 mph, and the cooler air behind the front will keep high temperatures below average. Highs will be around 68 with mostly sunny skies, as high pressure builds from the southwest.

WEDNESDAY: The high-pressure system will move to our southeast, bringing warmer air from the south. Highs will be in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s, with mostly sunny skies.

THURSDAY: A low will make a run for the Northland from the southwest, bringing a 20 percent chance of showers and storms. Lows will be in the low 50s, with highs near 64 as a small short wave brings increased cloud coverage.

FRIDAY: Expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s. Lows will be in the low 50s as the small trough and low exit eastward.
