Tuesday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers
TODAY: An east wind at 10-20 mph will keep highs below 50 by the lakeshore. Temperatures inland will be about 10 degrees higher. A low-pressure system is approaching from the southwest and will give areas north of the Twin Ports a 40-50 percent chance of afternoon showers.
WEDNESDAY: The low-pressure system will near us and gather enough heat and energy south of the Twin Ports for possible thunderstorms. A continued east wind will keep things cooler by the lake. The chance of showers and thunderstorms is 50 percent.
THURSDAY: We'll have a 60 percent chance of showers. Strong storms should stay south of the Twin Ports.
