Tuesday's weather in Duluth and the Northland: Cooler air moving in

Northland's NewsCenter meteorologist Adam Clark.

TODAY: Colder air starts filtering in from the north as a high-pressure system builds from the northwest. Because we have colder air pushing in, we'll see mostly cloudy skies and highs near 34. Winds will be out of the northwest at 5-15 with gusts up to 25 mph.

WEDNESDAY: The high will be in western Minnesota, bringing mostly sunny, cool conditions. Morning lows will be down to 9, with highs near 19.

THURSDAY: The cold snap will be short-lived as a low moves in from the west and we warm up a bit, with lows up to 14 and highs nearing 39. A passing warm front passes will bring a 20 percent chance of snow showers.

FRIDAY: A passing cold front will bring mostly cloudy skies and a 30 percent chance of a wintry mix. Morning lows will be around 25, with highs near 36.
