Tuesday's weather for Duluth and the Northland: Continued cool and cloudy, with showers likely

Adam Clark

TODAY: The slow-moving low and associated shortwave trough in the jet stream will bring a 60 percent chance of showers. Highs will be in the upper 60s with an east wind keeping temperatures in the mid- to low-60s by the lake.

WEDNESDAY: The low will push over Lake Huron and a small ridge in the jet stream should keep us mostly dry, but we will still have a 20 percent chance of showers. Lows will be in the mid-50s and highs near 71.

THURSDAY: We will have cloudy skies as another low approaches from the west. Expect a 50 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon.  Morning lows will be in the upper 50s with highs in the low 70s.

FRIDAY: We will have mostly cloudy skies and a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms as the low brings in warmth and instability from the south. Lows will be in the upper 50s with highs near 72.
