Thursday's forecast for Duluth and the Northland: Cloudy, with scattered storms throughout the day
TODAY: A low-pressure system will move into southwestern Minnesota. A fast spot in the jet stream's upper levels will increase uplift to give us a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms. We will see scattered storms throughout the day, with hail and high winds the primary concerns. A northeast wind will keep us cooler by the lake. Highs will be near 58 on the hill in Duluth and in the upper 40s by the lake.
FRIDAY: The low will move north of Grand Portage, and we'll see a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly in the morning. Skies will be cloudy to mostly cloudy.
SATURDAY: We can expect partly cloudy skies.
