Thomas Gabriel Pauza, 90, of Duluth, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2014.

He was born in Eynon Penn., on Jan. 5, 1924 to Dominick and Dominicka (Rachauskas) Pauza, who immigrated from Vilnas, Lithuania in 1905.

He graduated from Archbald High School, Archbald, Penn., in 1942. Tom enlisted in the Air Force, and following a 20-year career as a B-47 pilot he retired in 1964. He married Anita Joy Dean from Agra, Kan., in 1953. They raised five children and made homes in seven different states over their 60 years together, settling the last 30 years in Duluth, where they owned and operated the Tradition House Ethan Allen Gallery in Hermantown for several years before its close in 1987. Tom was later employed as a real estate agent for Century 21 Gilderman & Associates in Hermantown before finally retiring.

Tom was preceded in death by parents, Dominick and Dominicka (Rachauskas) Pauza of Eynon Penn., and sisters Anna Sluzis, Mary Marcy and Helen Tracewski.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Anita (Dean) Pauza; his sister, Agnes Wojcicki; five children, Janet (Jerome) Kinne, Joel (Robin) Pauza, Tim (Mary) Pauza, Shelley (Kevin) Pauza-Moore, and Heather (Darren) Haapoja; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.

PRIVATE VIEWING: 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 in Sunrise Funeral Home 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, Minnesota 55811. Gravesite ceremony will be held at 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery 7601 34th Avenue, South Minneapolis, MN 55450.
