Superior man injured in car-motorcycle crash

A Superior man was injured Thursday afternoon when he collided with a car and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The accident occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on Winter Street, east of Tower Avenue.

The driver of the car, from Duluth, was uninjured, according to Superior Police Sgt. Tom Champaign.

The injured motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not known as of Thursday night, police said. Authorities did not release his name.
