Superior man in custody after bite marks found on 3-month-old son
A 24-year-old father remains in custody today, after Superior police investigated a child abuse case involving bite marks on his 3-month-old son.
The child had bite marks on his legs, torso and face. Injuries were limited to bruising, and he was released to his mother’s care after treatment.
On Monday, Superior police responded to an address to follow up on a report of physical abuse to a child.
Upon arrival, officers met with the mother and the child and began assessing the reported injuries to the boy.
Initial observations showed the child suffered some human bite marks on various locations of his body.
The father makes an initial appearance in Douglas County Court on Wednesday. He is presently in Douglas County Jail.
