The St. Louis County district includes schools in Culver, Tower, Babbitt, Cook and Iron. There were 13 applicants vying to replace Teresa Knife Chief, who is completing her first three-year contract with the district.

Public School Board interviews with the candidates are at 5 p.m. March 19-20 in the media center at Cherry School, 3943 Tamminen Road, Iron. A new superintendent is expected to be chosen before April 14 and would begin working July 1.
