St. Cloud rides fast start past Huskies

Will Craig blasted a pair of home runs, and the St. Cloud Rox blasted the Duluth Huskies 10-3 in a Northwoods League game Saturday in St. Cloud.

Craig homered during a four-run fourth inning and again during a two-run sixth as the Rox jumped out to a 7-0 lead. The third baseman finished with five RBIs for St. Cloud, which is trying to stay at or near the top of the North Division standings.

The Huskies only could muster seven hits against two Rox pitchers, including starter Reese Gregory, who allowed five hits and two earned runs in six innings.

Duluth starter Dylan Barrow lasted only an inning, surrendering three earned runs on four hits and two walks.

The teams play a rematch at 5:05 p.m. today in St. Cloud.
